Monday, December 17, Randy Jackson, human resources director of Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG), spoke at the Pilgrim Baptist Church on the plant's hiring process. Mr. Jackson said that the bulk of KMMG's hiring will be done online and that KMMG is the first plant in the auto industry to attempt this approach.
Mr. Jackson urged those present to visit www.KiaJobsinGeorgia.com, especially over the next several weeks because the application process may start as early as January 2008. If you want to be notified when the online application is available, you can now sign up on the Kia homepage for the FirstAlert! notification.
Each applicant will complete an application from one of 3 categories and submit it online. The categories are:
- Production team member
- Maintenance team member
- Tool & die maintenance member
An applicant can apply for a job in only one of the above categories and can apply once in a 12 month period. More information about these jobs can be found on the KIaJobsinGeorgia homepage.
Mr. Jackson stated that at the present it is important to follow the hiring process online; to apply early; and to do a thorough, complete job in filling in your application.
