rules & Policies
The Valley Community Center offers a variety of interests to the community. While we want everyone to enjoy themselves, safety is a top priority for us. the City of Valley prohibits all tobacco products and alcoholic beverages in this facility. Listed below you will find safety rules for each area of the Community Center.
General Areas:
- No loitering - everyone in the facility must be using a specific area
- Shoes, shirts and pants, skirts/shorts must be worn in all areas except when in the pool area
- Equipment checkout may be obtained at the front desk
- Children 12 years and younger, prior to entering the facility, must be registered in a specific program, taking part in an organized activity or accompanied by a responsible adult 18 years of age or older
- Shirts, shorts/pants, athletic shoes and protective eye wear must be worn at all times
- Children 12 and under must be accompanied or supervised by a responsible adult 18 years of age or older
- Racquetball courts are reserved in one hour increments - these time limits will be enforced.
- Players only allowed in courts
- Court reservations are to be made on a day-to-day basis through the front desk.
- Bring your own equipment - balls and racquets are not furnished.
- Shirts, pants/shorts and shoes must be worn
- Foul language will result in removal from the facility
- When participating in athletic events, athletic shoes must be worn
- Full court play only when permitted by staff
- Dunking or hanging on the goal in not permitted
- Standing or stopping on the track is prohibited
- No sprinting during heavy use
- All participants must be 15 years or older
- Athletic shoes required
- Runners: designated outside lane of walking track
- Walkers: designated inside lane of walking track
- When track is busy, please refrain from walking beside another member
- Swimmers must wear appropriate swimming attire
- Females must wear suitable swimsuit
- Males must wear trunks with a drawstring
- No cutoffs or other clothing will be permitted
- Patrons must shower before entering the water
- No one may enter the water with open sores
- Running, horseplay or profanity is not allowed
- Shoes, pants/shorts and shirt required before leaving the pool area
- Whirlpool use is for therapeutic/rehabilitation services and adults only. Fifteen minute time limit. Maximum temperature 104. (amended 8/10/01)
