New EMS Ambulance

On January 26th, 2007, the City of Valley took receipt of a new ambulance, a 2006 Wheeled Coach Type III custom ambulance built on a Ford E-450 chassis. This ambulance is identical to the other two ambulances in the fleet, which are also Wheeled Coach, a 2000 model, the oldest, and a 2003 model. The only changes in the new unit are those of safety, which the Federal government requires, and a change in the motor and transmission types, which are upgrades by the Ford Motor Company.

The City's new ambulance is a custom designed Advanced Life Support unit that can handle transportaion of most life threatening situations, as well as basic or non-life threatening injuries. With this new unit, Valley EMS will be able to expand its operations to meet the needs of the City's growing population and economy.

The City of Valley implements a three-year rotation of its ambulance fleet, where every three years an ambulance is replaced. This procedure allows us to retain good equipment that is not costly to maintain, which results in less down time of the units, helping the Valley EMS provide a quality service to our citizens.
