At a special called meeting of the Valley City Council Monday, April 30th, 2007, Mrs. Annie Pearl Brown of Valley was honored upon her retirement from the City of Valley after nearly 12 years of service. Pearl has been a bus driver for senior services and it is estimated that she has driven 175,000 miles and transported over 43,000 passengers during the past 11 1/2 years. She has performed her job admirably, routinely receiving excellent evaluations due to her safe driving habits, her practice of thorough equipment inspections and her courteous interactions with seniors who use the transportaions services of the City.
Pearl was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Valley and was feted after the council meeting with a public reception held in the conference room of the City Hall complex.
The City thanks Pearl Brown for her years of service with the City and also would like to wish her a happy 80th birthday on May 2nd.
