Planning & Development

The Planning and Development Department administers the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulations, and Cemetery Rules and Regulations of The City of Valley and evaluates and administers Rezoning, Variance, and Subdivision Reviews. In addtion, the  Department  will review applications for business licenses and development permits that are submitted by citizens or developers to insure that they meet the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. All applications for building and sign permits, home occupation licenses, and installation of accessory buildings must be reviewed by the Planning and Development Department before a permit or license is issued. Some applications may be processed immediately while others may require Planning Commission or Board of Zoning Adjustments action.

The Planning and Development Department is located at 5220 Fairfax Bypass and our office hours are and Monday thru Friday.
