The City of Valley contracts with C&C Sanitation for garbage pickup. Pickups are scheduled weekly; day of the week depends on where you live. Household garbage (overflow or items too big to fit in a residential container) and yard trimmings are picked up weekly on your service day. Trash and yard trimmings should be placed curbside on the same day in which household garbage is collected.

Yard trimmings include vegetative matter such as leaves, brush, limbs, etc. Limbs should not exceed (4) feet in length and (8) inches in diameter. No more than 10 cubic yards of trash will be collected for each residence per weekly trip.

Do not place any household garbage; tires; roofing material; chemicals, such as paint, solvents, herbicides, etc.; asbestos; and any food containers at roadside to be removed by city vehicles.  Contractors are responsible for removing all debris from project sites.

The City does not pick-up household trash and debris except during Clean Up Valley week which is scheduled annually in April. During this time, the city will work with C&C Sanitation to pick up all trash put by the side of the road. There is no limit on the amount of items that can be picked up during this time. Public Works will also collect items such as tires, roofing materials, chemicals such as paints, solvents, or anything with a cord during this time at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion. These scheduled pickups will be published on this site, on social media, and in local news media.
